Welcome to The Anchor! Through large group worship and small group teaching and discussion, we're excited to watch your child grow. Take a moment to look through the following information to discover what the children will be learning this year. Dear Parents,
Welcome to The Anchor this 2010 - 2011 year!! Your elementary age children will be learning incredible truths about God, hiding His word in their hearts, and being encouraged to act on the truth they have learned…with the hope that faith will be born in their hearts!
Large group time – where the children continue to worship & learn through music, Missionary spotlights, and Bible Memory Verses.
Small group time – where your children are challenged to explore God’s word for answers to their questions; supported and encouraged as they discover the riches it contains! During this time they will build a small community of friends that they learn and pray with.
Our small groups will begin August 22nd! Please fill a Registration form at our Children's Ministry Welcome table. Below is a description of what your child will be learning this year...
1st graders – ABC’s of God – Children will be learning answers to important questions like: Who is God? What is He like? How should I act toward God?
2nd graders - Faithful to all His Promises - Children will be learning important promises of God, and of His faithfulness to those promises!
3rd graders - In the beginning…Jesus – Children will be searching God’s word from Genesis to see God’s plan, and how Jesus was in it from the beginning!
4th graders - To be Like Jesus – Children will be learning what it means, and how to grow and become more like Jesus!
5th graders – My Purpose will Stand – Children will be learning that God is Sovereign, and He is actively at work in the world – past, present, and future.
6th graders – Teach Me Your Ways – This is an in-depth look at the Sermon on the Mount and how that applies to them today!

I recognize that under God, parents are the most important teachers in a child’s spiritual life. For that reason there will be a take home sheet sent home each week for you to build on the truths taught in the Anchor. We look forward to partnering with you this year, in hopes that over time faith will be born in the heart of each child.
