Father in heaven, our hearts are heavy as we receive continuing reports of those who are suffering greatly from this virus.
We are grateful that you have loved these dear ones from the foundation of the world. You wove them together in their mother’s womb.
You know the plans you have for them. You see the end from the beginning. You will use all things – even confusing and painful things – to bring about your good purposes.
May you be glorified as you grant disease-fighting strength to these who are sick. May you spare many families and friends from sorrow.
May they see the hand of God do what human hands cannot do. May your comfort bring peace as you draw near to the broken-hearted.
You alone Lord have ultimate authority to subdue this disease. As a nation, we have relied more on the strength of man than the might of God. We have looked to medicine, but we have not marveled at majesty.
You are the light and hope of the world. In these dark days, would you renew your people and revive the nation. “Shine Jesus Shine; fill this land with the Father’s glory.”
We are grateful to a savior who conquered suffering through suffering. His love at the cross is our comfort. His life after death is our hope.
Because of Christ’s power, wisdom, and love, we come to the throne of God with confidence. We voice the desires of our heart which is healing for those we love. We place them in your hands and say “Your will be done.”
Through Jesus, we have confidence to ask for many things, knowing that one day, He will give us all things.
