CloseIn this powerful message, we're reminded of the profound joy that sustained Jesus through His ultimate sacrifice. The central theme revolves around Hebrews 12:2, which speaks of Christ enduring the cross 'for the joy set before Him.' This joy was twofold: pleasing His Father and qualifying us for heaven. As we prepare our hearts for the Lord's Supper, we're challenged to consider the depth of Christ's love and commitment. The story of Marie Duran, imprisoned for 38 years for her faith, serves as a poignant parallel to Christ's endurance. Just as Marie and her fellow prisoners etched 'resist' above their cell door, we too are called to persevere in our faith, fixing our eyes on Jesus. This message encourages us to reflect on our own 'race' - the unique purpose God has for each of our lives - and to run it with the same unwavering focus on joy that Jesus demonstrated.
