Position Scope
In partnership with the Elders, Lead Teaching Pastor, and Staff Leadership Team, the Pastor of Leadership and Strategy serves the church by:

Ensuring maximal alignment with Hope Point’s vision.

Promoting the execution of strategic initiatives and elder priorities.

Shepherding and development of church staff towards greater ministry effectiveness.

Cultivating deeper relationships with our local and global mission partners.
-
Teaching as needed on Sunday morning when the lead pastor is away.

Overseeing business operations ensuring proper stewardship of the church’s resources.
Qualifications
-
A credible testimony to saving faith in Christ alone and evidence of a thriving and growing relationship with Him
-
A personal spiritual life congruent with biblical mandates for leaders (1 Timothy 3:1-7)

Possess a passion for God’s word, supportive of the Church’s vision and doctrinal statement, and willing to become a member upon starting
-
Ability to lead people and teams demonstrated by prior leadership experience
-
Relationally and administratively gifted with the ability to recruit volunteer support
-
Self-directed with strong communication and organization skills
-
Energetic and engaging, yet humble teachable spirit
-
5+ years experience in leading a ministry or related field
-
Bachelor’s degree is required; Master’s degree in Ministry/Biblical studies is preferred
Duties and Responsibilities

Keep the vision before the church staff
-
Cultivate a God-centered, gospel-saturated environment among the staff that is characterized by high levels of joy, trust, faithfulness, and focus.

In partnership with the Lead Teaching Pastor, facilitate staff leadership team meetings by setting agenda and promoting collaboration among ministry teams with the goal of unifying the staff toward our common mission.

Facilitate weekly all-staff meetings promoting clarity of vision, spiritual formation, and leadership development.

Establish, maintain and strengthen the relationships with Hope Point ministry partners both domestic and international.

Cultivate the visibility, representation, and participation of these ministries within the church body.

Ensure the operational readiness of the church through leadership and oversight of support staff performing duties in administration, finance, and human resources.

Champions the development of a relevant infrastructure that will support a healthy, long-term effort to multiply disciples and grow the church.

In partnership with the Lead Teaching Pastor and staff leadership team share the load of pastoral counseling and care.
