A secondary focus is developing relationships with parents in order to equip them with biblical parenting principles. The ultimate goal of this ministry is to support and empower parents in their God-given role to disciple their children at home.
Work Type: Part-Time (Flexible Schedule – 15-20 hours per week)

Qualifications

  • A credible testimony of saving faith in Christ alone, with evident signs of a thriving and growing relationship with Him.
  • Supportive of the Church’s vision and doctrinal statement; a committed covenant member.
  • Strong interpersonal skills in relating to both parents and children, with a genuine desire to know them personally through church and outside activities.
  • Effective organizational abilities, especially in event planning and volunteer recruitment for the kids’ team.
  • Clear and collaborative communication skills to equip and support volunteers in engaging with families.

  • Volunteer Recruitment: Recruit and onboard new volunteers for preschool classrooms using the Planning Center workflow system.
  • Team Lead Oversight: Organize, support, and invest in Team Leads who manage volunteer scheduling for HP Kids.
  • Scheduling Management: Maintain and monitor the Planning Center schedule—send out schedules, identify and fill volunteer gaps, and manage scheduling changes.
  • Volunteer Leadership: Co-lead weekly team huddles to equip, encourage, and prepare volunteers for Sunday service.
  • Relational Engagement: Build and sustain meaningful relationships with volunteers, parents, and children through Sunday morning interactions, intentional check-ins, coffee meetings, and lunches.
  • Curriculum Communication: Email weekly preschool lessons and activity plans to volunteers.
  • Curriculum Preparation: Print preschool curriculum materials as needed (volunteers handle sorting and room setup).
  • Event Planning Collaboration: Partner with the HP Kids Director to plan and execute upcoming events.
