So What Does Scripture Claim About Jesus
He lived in heaven before he lived on earth. He was fathered by God in the womb of a virgin. He walked with sinful people yet never sinned himself. He died on a cross to absorb the guilt of Gods wrath. He rose from the dead to affirm his triumph over evil. He reigns in heaven yet fills our bodies with his spirit. He will return to earth bringing judgement and reward.
For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize

him. (Matthew 27:27-31)
For Christ died for sins once for all…to bring you to God.
(1 Peter 3:18)
But he was pierced for our transgressions [rebellious acts], he was
crushed for our iniquities [corrupt desires]; the punishment that
brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are
healed. We all, like sheep, have gone astray; and the Lord has laid
on him the iniquity of us all. (Isaiah 53:5,6)
After the Sabbath, at dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to look at the tomb. (Matthew 28:1-6)

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith…not by works, so that no one can boast. (Ephesians 2:8,9)
He will punish those who do not know God and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. They will be punished with everlasting destruction and shut out from the presence of the Lord and from the majesty of his power… (2 Thessalonians 1:8,9)

But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body. (Philippians 3:20,21)
And so we will be with the Lord forever. (1 Thessalonians 4:17)
