While serving as a full-time student pastor, God opened a door through the Fellowship of Christian Athletes for Lucas to be a character coach at a local high school. It was through this opportunity that his passions of athletics and gospel ministry were set on a collision course that would significantly alter his life. 12 years of serving in local church ministry proved to be a unique way for God to equip and prepare Lucas to reach coaches and athletes in Spartanburg County with the gospel of Jesus Christ. Since September 2022, Lucas has served as the Area Director for the Piedmont Area which serves Spartanburg, Cherokee, and Union Counties. Lucas & his wife Kellie were married in 2006 and have 3 sons: Brandt, Cason, & Trey.
